Description:
Just as genes from other generations are present in the body, every traumatic or painful event that has not been processed remains written and sometimes frozen in the memory of the family system in which it occurred. These traumas can be «transmitted from one generation to another», remaining unresolved. If not addressed, they can become part of an affective pattern that contributes to maintain a current problem. As Françoise Dolto says: «What is silenced in one generation appears as a symptom in the next.»
